BINI's Aiah on Kyle Echarri rumors: We're just friends

BINI' s Aiah Arceta has put an end to speculation regarding her and  actor-singer Kyle Echarri as photos and videos of them circulated online. The singer clarified that they are just friends and fellow Cebuanos.

In a TikTok video, Aiah, 25, and Kyle, 22, can be seen walking together at Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Despite wearing face masks and caps,  fans and netizens still recognized them.  Aiah did not appear to be hiding or avoiding attention as she was seen smiling and greeting fans who recognized her.

In other clips and photos, the two were also seen waiting together outside the airport, leading some people to speculate that they were traveling together and were not merely on the same flight by coincidence.

The sightings immediately fueled curiosity among fans, with some saying the two looked good together while others expressed support for their friendship.  Aiah responded to a video saying,  “Kyle and I are friends and kapwa Cebuanos so no malice po.”

Netizens were able to capture screenshots of Aiah's statement before it disappeared when the comment section was disabled. 

Additional photos uploaded on TikTok also showed Aiah and Kyle enjoying their Cebu trip alongside a group of friends while spending time together on vacation.

As Aiah mentioned, a common thread between them is their Cebuano heritage. Aiah grew up in Cebu and has always been vocal about her roots, occasionally covering Bisaya songs and using the language in her content. 

Kyle and his family moved to Cebu City in 2014 and considers it his hometown. He often goes back to stay with his family during breaks from work in Manila.

Kyle is recognized in the entertainment industry as a proud Cebuano/Bisaya singer and actor. He has also embraced this through music, including his collaboration with fellow Cebuano artist Juan Karlos on the Bisaya song “Kasing Kasing.”

While some netizens continued to speculate that there might be “something” between the two, many fans defended Aiah’s statement and urged others not to jump to conclusions.

“I hope everyone will stop spreading false information,” one user commented. Others echoed the sentiment, saying that if there is any connection between Aiah and Kyle, it appears to be nothing more than a “platonic friendship.”

Both stars are active on social media and are known for their approachable personalities. Aiah often spends her free time traveling during breaks from her busy schedule with BINI. 

Meanwhile, Kyle balances his schedule of shows, endorsements, and acting projects by taking time to relax and enjoy his hobbies.
