John Prats lauds Caprice Cayetano’s performance in TJ Monterde’s “Teka Lang” MV

Director and actor John Prats was all praises for Caprice Cayetano, who portrayed a young version of Heart Evangelista’s character  in TJ Monterde's newly released "Teka Lang" music video.

John, 42, directed the music video, which premiered on Wednesday, June 3. He recently shared behind-the-scenes photos on social media featuring Caprice, 17, and Jairon Nolasco. One of the photos also showed him directing Caprice during filming.

In his caption, John expressed his appreciation for the actress, “Grateful to have worked with you, @capcaprice! Sobrang husay mo at napakabait pa.”

“Grabe kayong dalawa! Ang galing n’yo at sobrang dali katrabaho. Hindi ako nahirapan at all. Salamat for making everything smooth and enjoyable. Teka Lang MV out now!! Saya!" Prats added. He also commended Jairon, 20, who played the younger version of his character in the music video.

"Teka Lang" is Caprice's first ever music video. Since participating in “Pinoy Big Brother,” many fans and viewers have pointed out her resemblance to Heart, often describing her as the actress' look-alike.

In a previous interview on “24 Oras,” PBB alum shared that she looks up to Heart and hopes to work with her someday. Heart has also expressed interest in collaborating with Caprice, saying, “Pwede siyang maging little Heart.” That opportunity has now come to fruition in their music video.

John also reflected on directing the project, calling it a “beautiful experience” and thanking TJ Monterde for trusting them with the music video.

The project carries a special connection for John and Heart. The two were one of the most popular love teams of the early 2000s. In May, John appeared on Heart’s show “Heart World 2,” where he revealed that Heart was his first girlfriend.

Over the years, they starred together in several projects, including “G-Mik,” “Trip,” “Ang Tanging Ina,” and “My First Romance.”

John stepped away from acting after his long-running role in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” in 2022 and has since focused on behind-the-camera work as a concert director and television producer.
