Filipino-Japanese actress Kaori Oinuma has admitted what she considers the most daring moment of her acting career: an on-screen kissing scene with veteran actress Dolly de Leon.
In a recent sit-down interview on The Boy Abunda Channel, Abunda asked Kaori whether she had already done kissing scenes prior to that one in "A Very Good Girl." She then confirmed that she had.
She went on about what she described as her “most intense” scene. Kaori, 25, said the kissing scene with Dolly, 57, in the 2023 satire revenge-thriller stood out the most.
According to her, the production only gave her minimal background on her character and simply informed her that she would be doing a kissing scene with the “Triangle of Sadness” actress.
Given that it was her first project with the veteran actress, Kaori admitted she was surprised and even asked, “Sure po kayo na ako gagawa nun?” She became confused and thought if she was the right fit for the scene, saying her innocent-looking image might not be suitable.
Abunda pointed out that she was acting alongside the acclaimed actress Dolly de Leon. Kaori agreed and said that was exactly why she still accepted the role. The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum described the experience as a heavy, very real on-screen moment.
"A Very Good Girl" is a 2023 Filipino dark comedy-thriller directed by Petersen Vargas, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon. Kaori appears in a supporting role as Rigel, the younger half-sister of Philo, Bernardo’s character.
