KC Concepcion works hard on fitness goals before making showbiz comeback

After being away from the public eye for quite some time, KC Concepcion is focused on getting herself camera-ready again before entertaining any showbiz comeback. With determination, the actress and entrepreneur has embarked on a fitness journey through exercise as she works toward the “sexy body” she wants.

Although she admits she misses showbiz and seeing familiar faces from the entertainment industry, KC, 41, said she is currently  focusing on refining her screen look.

“Na-miss ko pong mag-hosting,” she admitted, adding that she still enjoys being in front of the camera. However, rather than framing it as a comeback, KC is more interested in projects that genuinely excite her and her fans. She was last seen in the 2023 film “Asian Persuasion" before taking a break from showbiz.

Right now, she prioritizes her fitness and overall appearance before taking on any new project. KC admitted that she is her own biggest critic. She even has a specific look she wants to achieve whenever she watches herself onscreen.

She chooses to lose weight the healthy and natural way, saying she has tried weight-loss trends before. KC now prefers a healthier approach even if it takes more time. “Natatakot po ako sa mga gamot na nauuso ngayon,” KC said.

KC also shared that her mother, Sharon Cuneta, has been very supportive as she starts this journey. According to KC, her mom constantly reminds her not to pressure herself too much because of other people’s opinions. Sharon simply encourages her to “keep going” with her diet and exercise.

As for the bashers, KC said she no longer pays much attention to negative comments online. She admitted that there are times she even agrees with some criticisms, but she also pointed out that people don’t really know her personally.

Outside showbiz, KC remains busy managing her jewelry business, which she said continues to receive support from jewelry lovers. She also teased a new business venture she is currently working on, though she did not  reveal details yet since it is still in its early stages.
