Pokémon RUN 30 turns trainers into runners for anniversary fun run

Pokemon Trainers, get ready! Pokémon RUN is back, combining a fun run with Pokémon encounters as it returns for its 30th anniversary events across Asia.

Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the return of its real-world running event, giving Trainers across Asia the opportunity to take part in the Pokémon RUN 30 experience. 

Following its initial run in the Philippines in 2025, the event is expanding in 2026 with new stops across the region, as announced on the official Pokémon GO website. 

In the Philippines, the next edition will take place at the SM Mall of Asia on October 3 and 4-- making it one of the first stops to be confirmed on the Asian schedule.

The main event will have an approximately 5-kilometer fun run which is open to participants of all ages, from casual runners and Pokémon fans to families with children. 

In addition to the run, a free-to-enter Pokémon Festival Zone will be open to the public, featuring exhibits celebrating the franchise's history, a Pikachu parade and meet-and-greet, interactive Pokémon experiences, themed photo spots, and other activities.

Across Asia, the Pokémon RUN 30 will continue in Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Malaysia is scheduled to host an event, with details to be announced later.

Trainers can expect boosted wild encounters featuring Pokémon characters from Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle up to newer starters like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Lucky participants may also encounter Shiny Pokémon during the event period.

Pokémon GO players can look forward to event-exclusive bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and limited Timed Research rewards during the celebration.

Registered participants will receive a Pokémon RUN 30 Runner’s Kit which include an event T-shirt, drawstring bag, a type-themed bib (Grass, Fire, or Water), a Poké Ball armband, a Pokédex search sheet, and a lenticular first partner Pokémon card based on their selected type. 

Select ticket tiers will also include a Pikachu shoulder plush and a Pokémon Trading Card Game booster pack.
