Adrenaline Junkies and horror fans won’t have to wait long, as the Ready or Not sequel will arrive sooner than expected.

Searchlight Pictures announced that Ready or Not 2: Here I Come will arrive in theaters on March 20, 2026, a week earlier than the originally scheduled March 27 release, as reported by Deadline. The film had originally been set for April 10, 2026.

According to Variety,  Samara Weaving will reprise her lead role as Grace MacCaullay.

The other cast members include Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Nadeem Umar-Khitab, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood.

Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return to direct the sequel with the original writing team.

The trailer for Ready or Not 2 gives audiences a teaser of the intense new challenges and deadly games that Grace (played by Weaving) must navigate.

While the first film focused on Grace surviving traps and confronting dangerous enemies, the sequel promises to retain the dark humor and thrilling twists that made the original a hit.

Fans can also expect larger set pieces and more complex storylines, showing that the sequel will add new twists to the first movie rather than simply repeating it.

The original Ready or Not was a surprise success, praised for its mix of action, dark comedy, and horror, and performed strongly at the box office.

This popularity led the studio to greenlight a sequel, aiming to continue Grace’s story while exploring the aftermath of the first film.

The sequel also allows the filmmakers to expand the world of deadly family rituals, giving audiences a fresh yet familiar experience, as stated by entertainment news,

Samara Weaving reprises her role as Grace, the bride who survived the deadly wedding night in the first film.

New cast members bring fresh characters and escalated danger, keeping the story’s mix of suspense, horror, and dark humor intact while expanding the original plot.
