“It’s winter and we have nowhere to go. We don’t have any place to stay,” said Younis Dhia, a 33‑year‑old displaced Lebanese man.

Israel has been carrying out daily strikes on Lebanon since March 2 when Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel to avenge the killing of Iran's supreme leader in Tehran on the first day of the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.

The Lebanese health ministry said on Friday (March 13) the number of people killed by Israeli attacks had risen to 687, including 98 children, 62 women and 18 medics. The toll does not otherwise distinguish between civilians and combatants.
