Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 30 points, Ty Jerome added 19 with eight assists, and Jaylen Wells contributed 18 to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 137-128 victory over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night, ending a six-game losing streak.

Memphis also received strong performances from reserves Vince Williams Jr. and Cam Spencer, who each had 16 points and five assists, and Cedric Coward, who added 14 points. GG Jackson finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.

Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 39 points, while Jaden McDaniels added 29 on 11-of-14 shooting. Donte DiVincenzo scored 21, and Julius Randle posted 19 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists for the Timberwolves, who had won four straight games.

The Grizzlies built a double-digit lead in the third quarter and extended it to 20 points early in the fourth following three consecutive 3-pointers in under a minute. GG Jackson started the flurry, Jerome followed 39 seconds later, and Jaren Jackson Jr. capped the run.

Minnesota made a late-quarter push to cut the lead to nine points at 130-121 after a three-point play by Edwards, but Memphis held firm. Coward’s driving dunk with 1:09 remaining secured the win at 134-121.

Memphis played without star guard Ja Morant, who missed his sixth consecutive game with a left elbow sprain and is expected to be out for two more weeks. The Grizzlies were also without five other rotation players, including key reserve Santi Aldama (knee).

After leading most of the first half, Memphis opened up an eight-point halftime advantage, which they extended to 14 midway through the third quarter. Despite a brief Timberwolves rally to cut the lead to two points early in the third, the Grizzlies regained control and entered the fourth quarter ahead 98-86.

The Grizzlies made 10 of 18 3-pointers in the first half and reached a high of 14 points in the second quarter at 51-37.

Memphis will begin a five-game road swing on Wednesday in Sacramento.
