Former Barcelona defender and FC Andorra owner Gerard Piqué has been banned from attending his club’s next six matches by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) following an incident involving match officials last week.

The RFEF also announced on Wednesday that Piqué has been suspended for two months from all official football-related activities.

According to a statement and reports from Spanish media, referee Alonso de Ena Wolf included in his match report that Piqué shouted at officials in a threatening manner following FC Andorra’s 1–0 home defeat to Albacete on Friday.

The incident reportedly also involved other club officials, including Andorra president Ferran Vilaseca and sporting director Jaume Nogués. Vilaseca has been handed a four-month ban, while Nogués received a six-match suspension along with a two-month ban from official football activity.

In addition to the individual sanctions, the RFEF disciplinary committee ordered FC Andorra to close its presidential box and VIP areas for two matches and imposed a fine of 1,500 euros (approximately $1,762).

The defeat further damages Andorra’s hopes of reaching the promotion playoffs. The club currently sits eight points outside the top six with four matches remaining in the season.
