Former U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the Miami Open as she continues her recovery from illness, the WTA announced on Monday.
The British number one, who reached the quarter-finals in Florida last year, had been given a bye into the second round.
The 23-year-old has faced ongoing struggles with form and fitness since her Grand Slam victory as a teenager at the 2021 U.S. Open. She has worked with several coaches but has yet to regain consistent success on the tour.
The Miami Open main draw begins on Tuesday and will run until March 29.
