A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket successfully launched Amazon’s LEO 7 mission, carrying 29 internet satellites into orbit on Friday (May 29).
All early flight milestones were completed as planned, including solid rocket booster separation and booster stage separation, with systems operating normally.
The satellites were deployed in multiple batches once in space. Confirmations came in sequence until the final two spacecraft separated, completing the deployment.
“All 29 LEO satellites have now been successfully separated,” the mission commentator said.
The satellites are part of Amazon’s planned constellation of more than 3,000 Low Earth Orbit spacecraft designed to provide broadband internet to underserved areas worldwide.
