President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced a significant rollback in fuel prices set to take effect on Tuesday, April 14, with diesel prices dropping by more than PhP20 per liter, gasoline by over PhP4 per liter, and kerosene by more than PhP8 per liter.

Marcos said the price reductions form part of the government’s broader efforts to ease the impact of rising oil prices, noting that additional measures and assistance programs will be introduced in the coming days to help bring down transportation, food, and overall living costs.

He said the rollback would provide much-needed relief to drivers, commuters, and households affected by elevated crude oil prices.

At the same time, the President acknowledged that the reduction alone would not be enough, stressing that the government will continue to pursue ways to lessen the financial burden on Filipinos.

He also assured that the government is continuously working for the public's benefit and for the people's reprieve from the rising cost of fuel and commodities.
