Alexa Ilacad delivers impressive Avril Lavigne performance on 'Your Face Sounds Familiar'

Alexa Ilacad once again amazed viewers with her pop-punk princess performance as Avril Lavigne on "Your Face Sounds Familiar" (YFSF), a weekend reality competition where celebrity contestants impersonate and perform as both local and international music icons.

For this week’s performance, she was assigned to impersonate Avril Lavigne and perform the Canadian singer-songwriter hit song, Girlfriend. 

Alexa was delighted to get the chance to impersonate her childhood idol.

Fans and viewers were impressed by her latest act, from her blonde hair with pink highlights to her pop-punk outfit and vocals, which many commented perfectly captured Avril Lavigne’s style and voice. Alexa proved once again that she is a complete performer.

Every week, Alexa Ilacad continues to surprise her fans and audiences with well-prepared, memorable performances, and accurate impersonations of the artists assigned to her.

Some of the iconic artists she has impersonated include Connie Francis with Pretty Little Baby performance, Olivia Rodrigo with Driver’s License, Jennie of BLACKPINK with Like Jennie, and Britney Spears with I’m a Slave 4 U.

The actress and singer also delivered a standout version of Chinito and portrayed  Philippine Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino, featuring a surprise guest appearance by actor and host Enchong Dee from the original Chinito’s music video.

In week 10, Alexa embraced her pop-punk side. 

Although she did not secure first place this week which went to JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano, who portrayed Christina Aguilera and Sabrina Carpenter with 202 points. Alexa remained on top and earned second place with 182 points.

She has consistently been in the top four since the first week, proving that her performances, always full of passion and effort, resonate with both judges and viewers.

At 25, Alexa Ilacad remains highly active in her career, balancing multiple projects including hosting, endorsements, collaborations with various artists, and her ongoing participation in Your Face Sounds Familiar.

Meanwhile, her fellow contestants including singer Jason Dy, BGYO boyband member Akira Morishita, and Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 Dia Mate have also showcased impressive talent. 

Comediene-actress Ruffa Mae Quinto, meanwhile, remains a consistent crowd favorite, entertaining viewers with her weekly performances.

The YFSF judges are Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, and comedian, singer-songwriter, and OPM icon Ogie Alcasid. 

They decide the weekly winner based on points they give  to each contestant, with 1 point being the lowest and 8 points the highest.

The show is hosted by Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario, with mentors Klarisse de Guzman and Nyoy Volante guiding the performers. Your Face Sounds Familiar isn’t just for celebrity fans or specific age groups but it is for anyone who loves music, entertainment, and simply wants to enjoy watching great performances.
