The Avengers are back. Sort of. Producers have confirmed that the 98th Academy Awards will feature a Marvel cast reunion.

Oscars executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan teased some of the big surprises planned for Sunday night. “There’s going to be a Marvel reunion for all the superhero fans. Superheroes will be joining us,” Mullan said.

It was later confirmed by the official Oscars press office that Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, both MCU originals who previously appeared at the Oscars in 2013, will reunite with some of their “Avengers” co-stars.

Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, and Lewis Pullman, also part of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday cast, were named as presenters for the ceremony.

In addition, two of the five Best Original Song nominees will be performed during the broadcast: “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters and “I Lied to You” from Sinners.

As reported by Deadline, the ceremony will also feature an acclaimed lineup of presenters, including Anne Hathaway, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rose Byrne, Nicole Kidman, Jimmy Kimmel, Ewan McGregor, Bill Pullman, and Sigourney Weaver.

Kapoor shared that the stage has been completely redesigned this year to reflect the ceremony’s theme of humanity, highlighting “human touch and creativity.”

The Oscars 2026 will air live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 15, with red carpet coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. The ceremony will be broadcast on ABC and Hulu.
