While families across the country celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben marked a major milestone of their own as the band celebrated its ninth anniversary.

To celebrate nine years of music and friendship, the group held a free busking session on the Wish Bus at Eton Centris at 6 p.m.

The band also shared a message on social media, reflecting on the challenges and lessons they’ve faced throughout their journey together.

“9 years na kami as a band ngayong May 10. Hindi pala gawang biro yung kasabihang ‘di ipagpapalit ang pagkakaibigan.’ Kasi totoong susubukan ka ng buhay at pagkakataon kung mapaninindigan mo ba talaga yun,” the band wrote.

They also opened up about the misunderstandings, sacrifices, and painful moments they experienced over the years, saying these challenges ultimately made their relationship stronger.

Ben&Ben also invited fans to join them at “Saranggola: The Concert” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 2, 2026. Inspired by their song “Saranggola,” the concert serves as a tribute to lasting relationships and the memories shared in the different stages in life.

They ended their message saying, “Kitakits, Liwanag… Labyu!”

On the day tickets went on sale, the band was very grateful  after more than 60% of tickets were sold in just a few hours.

Beyond the anniversary celebration, Ben&Ben has also been revisiting some of its well-loved tracks through reimagined releases. On May 7, the band released “Autumn (Reimagined),” featuring updated lyrics, following “Lifetime (Reimagined),” released in March 2026.

Formed by twin brothers and the band’s lead vocalists  Paolo Benjamin Guico and Miguel Benjamin Guico in 2016, the group started as a duo called The Benjamins. The duo expanded into an ensemble and called themselves  Ben&Ben the following year.

Since expanding into a nine-member band, they have released several hit songs while consistently drawing large audiences both here and abroad.

Some of the band’s most popular songs include “Leaves,” “Kathang Isip,” “Pagtingin,” “Lifetime,” and “Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay.”
