Carla Abellana recently celebrated the 13th birthday of her dog, Bubbly.

In her latest social media post, Carla Abellana shared sweet moments celebrating Bubbly’s birthday.

The photos show Carla carrying her dog, hugging her, and even a cake with a candle with her other dog joining in the 'barkday' celebration. It’s clear that her love for her pets is genuine, and her followers couldn’t help but notice how adorable her dogs are.

Known not only for her successful acting career but also for her dedication to animal welfare, Carla has been actively involved with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)  for over a decade, according to the PAWS official website

She has taken part in fundraising activities, promoted adoption campaigns, and joined the “Dr. Dog” program, which brings comfort to sick children. PAWS is a volunteer-led NGO created for the protection and promotion of humane treatment to all animals.

The actress and animal advocate also became a spokesperson for the “Artists Against Animal Cruelty” initiative, which aims to safeguard the welfare of animals in films and television.

Beyond being an animal advocate, she has personally adopted several dogs from PAWS, including two Aspins (Asong pinoy or Filipino dog), and currently taking care of six adopted dogs.

Carla has shared in interviews with Calyxta that her love for animals started at a young age, influenced by her family’s affection for pets. She began volunteering with PAWS in grade school and became more active during her college years.

She also recounted one of her early experiences rescuing a dog, a male Aspin abandoned in a small apartment without food, water, or ventilation. Carla and a friend initially thought the puppy was dead, but fortunately, he survived. She fostered him for several months until the dog was adopted.

Carla emphasizes that adopting a pet is a serious responsibility. She encourages people to start helping animals in need at home by practicing responsible pet care.

The 35 year old actress uses her social media to share daily updates and raise awareness about animal issues. Through her platform, she not only educates her followers but also inspires them to take action—whether it’s supporting animal protection initiatives or participating in adoption programs.

Carla Abellana’s love for animals extends far beyond her own pets. It is a lifelong mission she actively promotes, demonstrating how passion and advocacy can truly make a difference in the lives of animals.
