Celebrity couple Richard Gutierrez and Barbie Imperial sat down for a conversation where they answered each other's personal questions in Jeepney TV’s “Stars On Stars” on April 11.

At one point, Barbie, 27, brought up Richard’s former female co-stars and asked, “Sino sa mga previous leading ladies mo ang gusto mong makatrabaho ulit?”

Richard, 42, after a brief pause answered, “Siguro si Angel Locsin.” The show then flashed a scene of Richard and Angel from their previous project, the fantasy series “La Luna Sangre.”

Barbie then followed up and asked, “Why?” The ‘Fantaserye King’  expressed his desire to reunite with Angel on-screen, saying, “We’re all waiting for her comeback. Sana makagawa kami ng isang project.”

Barbie agreed and added that there are still many fans of their love team known as Chargel, which includes her and Angel’s partner Neil Arce. Barbie even bantered, “Kami na iyong managers ninyo ni Ate Angel.”

Richard responded, “Yeah, sana one day. God willing.” Barbie, in closing the topic exclaimed, ‘Chargel!’” After the episode aired, Angel, 40,  posted a series of throwback photos of her and Richard. She captioned it, “Are you team #CharGel?”

Yesterday, Barbie followed up with another post with a screenshot from the interview writing, “ChardGels mag-ingay.” Fans were quick to react and expressed excitement over the update.

The “CharGel” love team was among the most popular onscreen pairings in the Philippines in the 2000s. Angel and Richard first worked together in 2004’s fantasy series “Mulawin”, where they played Aguiluz and Alwina. They later starred in projects such as “Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di,” “Let the Love Begin,” and “Mulawin: The Movie.”

After their 2006 romance film “I Will Always Love You,” they continued to work separately for years before reuniting in “La Luna Sangre” in 2017.

Angel’s most recent TV appearance was in the public service program “Iba ‘Yan”  in 2020. On the other hand, Richard remains active in showbiz, recently starring in the latest installment of the iconic horror franchise "Shake, Rattle & Roll." He also  appears in the Netflix action-drama series "Blood vs. Duty," which premiered on April 3.
