British singer-songwriter and actor Harry Styles has officially entered a new phase of his career with the release of Aperture, his first new single in nearly three years.

The track, released on January 22, serves as the lead release from his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Unlike a traditional pop single, Aperture stretches past five minutes, opening with an extended atmospheric introduction before Styles’ vocals arrive. The track blends disco and trance elements into a restrained, immersive soundscape.

According to Forbes, Styles leans into visual storytelling and emotional clarity, singing lines, “It’s best you know what you don’t, aperture lets the light in / We belong together, it finally appears it’s only love,” emphasizing the importance of seeing things clearly and recognizing when two people truly belong together.

The song has quickly translated into major interest on streaming platforms. Pop Base reports that Aperture is No. 1 in the U.S. Spotify chart with 1.58 million streams and currently sits at No. 3 on the Global Spotify chart with 5.26 million streams, highlighting its strong reach.

The song was produced by Kid Harpoon, a key collaborator who has worked on every one of Harry Styles’ solo albums to date, from his debut through his latest release.

Their continued partnership signals both sonic continuity and a willingness to explore with longer, layered compositions.

Along with the release, Harry Styles’ Together, Together tour is set to begin on May 16 in Amsterdam and will make stops in London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, and Australia.

Highlights include a 30 shows at Madison Square Garden residency with special guests Robyn, Shania Twain, Jorja Smith, Jamie XX, and Fousheé.

According to Rolling Stone, an American monthly magazine, tickets for São Paulo and Mexico City will be available starting Jan. 29 while tickets for Amsterdam, London, Melbourne, and Sydney go on sale January 30.

New York shows will have two separate ticket sales: Shows from August 26 to October 9 go on sale January 30, and shows from October 10 to 31 will be available starting February 4.

With his song Aperture at the top of the charts and a big tour coming, Styles is set to keep building his success and try new creative things.
