The Philippine remake of the medical drama "The Good Doctor" has officially entered production following its initial table read with the cast, TV5 confirmed on Facebook on Friday, April 15.

“Opisyal nang nagsimula ang production ng The Good Doctor Philippine adaptation matapos ang unang table reading ng cast. Mapapanood ang #TheGoodDoctor SOON dito sa TV5!”

Leading the series is Iñigo Pascual, who will portray a young doctor with savant syndrome whose sharp instincts, medical expertise and compassion make him stand out.

Iñigo is the son of actor Piolo Pascual. The 28-year-old actor, singer and songwriter is known for movies and television work like "Relaks It’s Just Pag-ibig," "I’m Ellenya L.," and "Para sa Hopeless Romantic."

He has also appeared in international projects such as "Homestead" and the series "Monarch." His most recent film was "Fatherland," directed by actor Joel Lamangan.

Joining Iñigo in the medical drama are Janella Salvador, Ryan Agoncillo, Gabby Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Gelli de Belen, Dylan Menor, Angie Castrence, Jeffrey Tam and Macoy Dubs.  Also included in earlier announcement and trailer released in November 2025 were Tony Labrusca, James Blanco, and Pearl Gonzales, though they were not seen in the latest cast photos. Sue Ramirez was also previously listed for the project, but her current role has not been revealed.

The upcoming remake is directed by award-winning filmmaker Roderick Cabrido, known for "Clarita" and "Mallari." The original Korean series "The Good Doctor" ran for one season with 20 episodes. It was written by Park Jae-bum (Vincenzo) and directed by Ki Min-soo (Blood). The story has already been adapted in three countries—the United States, Turkey, and Japan.
