Filipino actress Julia Montes got a sweet early birthday surprise from her longtime partner, Filipino actor and director Coco Martin.

She shared the moment with fans yesterday through a short video posted on her Facebook page.

In the short clip, Coco, 44, walked into the room where Julia was, carrying a large rectangular strawberry cake while several of Montes’ co-workers and colleagues were present.

The Filipino actress, who turns 31 next week on March 19, looked genuinely surprised and emotional as everyone around her sang the birthday song. She even got teary-eyed during the moment.

After blowing out the candle, Montes quipped, “Dapat siya ang is-surprise ko dito, pinapunta ninyo agad eh.”

Coco then told her “I love you,” and the couple shared a quick kiss. Montes also hugged him warmly as he set the cake down.

In the caption of her post, the actress wrote, “Early birthday surprise from my Palagi.” Martin later reposted the video on his own Facebook page with the simple yet sweet message, “I love you.”

Julia and Coco have been together for over a decade now, marking 14 years as a couple.

The heartwarming moment comes just days before the finale of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which will air its final episode tomorrow.

Earlier this week, ABS-CBN posted its new primetime lineup beginning Monday, March 16. The network announced that the highly anticipated series “Sigabo,” starring Martin and Montes, will be postponed for now.

In its official statement, the network said, “Ililipat sa ibang petsa ang inaabangang teleseryeng ‘Sigabo,’... habang patuloy ang preparasyon nito para maghandog ng isang bago at kapanapanabik na serye sa lahat ng manonood.”

For the new lineup, “The Alibi,” starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, will take over the primetime slot. It will be followed by the mystery drama “What Lies Beneath” at 8:45 p.m., which stars Janella Salvador, Kaila Estrada, Sue Ramirez, Charlie Dizon, and Jake Cuenca, and is also heading toward its final chapter.

Next in the lineup is the South Korean romance drama “Love Scout,” starring Lee Jun-hyuk and Han Ji-min, airing at 9:30 p.m., followed by the Chinese drama “Forbidden Flower” at 10:15 p.m., led by Jerry Yan.

Julia’s most recent projects include the 2024 drama series Saving Grace and the 2023 romantic drama film Five Breakups and a Romance.
