Jury members Demi Moore, Stellan Skarsgard arrive for Cannes Film Festival

Members of the 79th Cannes Film Festival jury, led by filmmaker Park Chan-wook, arrived in France ahead of the festival’s opening, joining a star-studded panel that includes Demi Moore, Stellan Skarsgård, and Chloe Zhao. Running until May 23, this year’s Cannes will showcase major international films and feature appearances from global A-listers including Scarlett Johansson, Rami Malek, and Javier Bardem.

Members of the 79th Cannes Film Festival jury, led by award-winning filmmaker Park Chan-wook, arrived at the Martinez Hotel on Monday (May 11) ahead of the opening of the festival on Tuesday (May 12).


The Korean director, known for films including “Thirst” (2009) and “No Other Choice” (2025), will sit on the panel alongside “The Substance” star Demi Moore and Swedish actor, Stellan Skarsgard.


The jury also includes “Hamnet” director, Chloe Zhao, actor Ruth Negga and screenwriter Paul Laverty.


This year’s Cannes Film Festival, which runs until May 23, will pit stalwarts of arthouse cinema such as Poland's Pawel Pawlikowski and Spain's ‌Pedro Almodovar against a small pool of newer voices.


A-listers with films premiering this year include Scarlett Johansson, Rami ​Malek, ⁠Javier Bardem, John Travolta and Lea Seydoux.
