The beloved Lara Jean Covey is officially returning.

American actress, singer, and content creator Lana Condor will reprise her role as Lara Jean in season three of XO, Kitty, the spinoff of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film series. 

Condor, who last played Lara Jean in the 2021 film To All the Boys: Always and Forever, had previously hinted at a possible return in 2023, saying, “Never say never,” and noting that the To All the Boys world feels like home.

The streaming service announced on March 6 that Condor would appear in the upcoming season. Her comeback was teased in a behind-the-scenes video where Sang Heon Lee, who plays Min Ho, calls out “Covey?” on set. 

Condor and Anna Cathcart (Kitty) both turn around, hinting at Lara Jean’s return. Condor, 28, later shared the clip on her Instagram with the caption, “Hi Sister.”

XO, Kitty follows Lara Jean’s younger sister, Kitty, as she navigates love, friendships, and life while studying at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). 

In the new season, Kitty reconnects with her long-distance boyfriend Dae (Choi Min-young) while building a new life in the city. Her interactions with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) continue to shape her friendships and romance. The main cast portraying Kitty’s friends and classmates will also return.

The original To All the Boys film premiered on Netflix in 2018 and expanded into a three-film series. The first season of romantic-comedy and drama XO, Kitty debuted in May 2023, with season two following in January 2025.

While Condor will be returning, there is currently no confirmation that Noah Centineo will appear in season three.

Condor, who rose to fame playing Lara Jean Covey, is now happily married to “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and American singer Anthony De La Torre. 

The celebrity couple, who first met in 2015 and got engaged in 2022, tied the knot in an intimate Malibu, California ceremony in October 2024.

Fans can finally watch the season three trailer scheduled to come out today, with the full season set to premiere on Netflix on April 2.
