Composer Ludwig Göransson won the Academy Award for Best Original Score on Sunday (March 15) for his work on the film 'Sinners' at the Oscars.
The award was presented by actors Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Ellie Kemper, who starred together in the comedy film 'Bridesmaids.'
Göransson rose to a standing ovation from the audience before making his way to the stage.
“I love the guitar and it became everything to me, and it was the guitar that opened up a lot of doors for me, and it was the guitar that brought me over to the States, and it was the guitar that eventually led me to one of the greatest storytellers of our time, Ryan Coogler,” Göransson said, thanking the filmmaker for “making a movie that resonated with the whole world.”
