Max Collins recently guested on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, where she promoted the upcoming premiere of an action-drama series Master Cutter on GMA and Netflix.

During the interview, Tito Boy asked the actress about the show, her role as the leading lady of Dingdong Dantes, and whether she had the ‘blessing’ of his wife, Marian Rivera.

Max, 33, couldn’t hide her excitement as she talked about the project, especially when Abunda congratulated her for landing the role alongside Dingdong.

She described the series saying, “It's about a very skilled, handsome man who's always undercover. And it takes him into dark and dangerous places with crime. But at the same time, there's a lot of love involved. It's about bringing him back to his loved ones and things like that. So you'll find out later on.”

The actress also shared her personal connection to the show, “Malapit sa puso ko ang show na ito. Kasi island girl ako sa show. And it's very close to home for me. And dun kami nag-meet ng character ni Dingdong.” She added that the series combines drama, action, and comedy, making it suitable for the whole family.

When asked about her noticeably “sexy” appearance in the trailer and the possibility of a love scene, Max playfully kept things vague, saying, “I don’t know… maybe.” She hinted those scenes are often elements in action series, leaving viewers something to anticipate when it premieres in May.

The conversation later turned personal when Abunda brought up Marian Rivera. Max revealed, “Actually, I talk to her a lot. I got her support. She's very supportive.”

She then shared, “And kasi, nagkatrabaho kami before together sa Guardian Alien. So, we became friends. And then, now with this new show, I already talked to her even before we started.”

Max said she makes it a point to keep Marian informed. “I love her. I respect her. Every time I post something, I always message her. I ask and nagpaalam ako out of respect. So we have a very good relationship,” she said.

She also noted how their connection extends beyond work: “And our kids all met. We had Christmas before because Dingdong and I have the same management, PPL Entertainment also.”

Outside of work, Max continues to focus on co-parenting her child, Skye Anakin, with former partner, actor Pancho Magno. Despite their separation, the two have remained committed to raising their child.
