Filipina actress and beauty queen Catriona Gray was recognized at the Global Filipino Icon Awards 2026 during a ceremony held in Dubai, UAE on Saturday, January 31.


Catriona Gray shared the good news with her followers on Instagram the following day, expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for the honor and reflected on the significance of the recognition. “Honored to be recognized as a recipient of the Global Filipino Icon Awards 2026 for Beauty, Advocacy and Culture last night in Dubai. Maraming Salamat po!” she wrote.


The award celebrates Catriona Gray’s impact in the fields of beauty, advocacy, and culture, emphasizing her continued efforts to promote Filipino values and inspire people around the world. Since winning Miss Universe 2018, she has consistently used her platform to support social causes, showcase Filipino culture, and pursue projects in music and entertainment.


At the event, the 32-year-old actress and beauty queen wore a sophisticated black gown created by renowned Filipino designer Michael Cinco, based in Dubai. Her look was complemented with luxury jewelry and styled by a team of well-known creatives, combining both international style and Filipino talent.


This year's Global Filipino Icon Awards is organized by The Global Filipino Magazine and held at  the Diamond Ballroom of Kempinski Central Avenue in Dubai.


Among those in attendance were notable Filipino personalities including Piolo Pascual, Dr. Carl E. Balita, Zeinab Harake, and Glenda Dela Cruz,.


Veteran journalist Atom Araullo served as Guest of Honor and was honored with the Lifetime Achievement in Public Service Journalism.


The event honors Filipinos who have gained global impact across arts, media, advocacy, entrepreneurship, education, and community leadership.


Catriona Gray’s award adds to her growing list of achievements and reinforces her status as a modern Filipino icon admired worldwide.
