2026 marks a major milestone for Netflix Philippines as it celebrates 10 years since its official launch in the country, as announced by Director of Content Licensing for SEA & ANZ at Netflix and Netflix Philippines Content Lead Vitto Lazatin.

Over the past decade, the platform has continuously championed Filipino storytelling, bringing local narratives to a global audience.

During the Next on Netflix Philippines 2026 event, Netflix officially introduced its upcoming lineup of films and series set to premiere throughout the year, featuring "18th Rose," "Balaraw," "BuyBust: The Undesirables," "Ganito, Ganyan, Ganoon," Paskong Pinoy, "Someone, Someday," and "The Master Cutter."

"18th Rose" is a romance film starring Kyle Echarri and Xyriel Manabat and directed by Dolly Dulu, with Xyriel Manabat present at the event.

Set in Romblon in the early 2000s, the film reflects a time when relationships and first love felt more personal and sincere, with the title referencing the traditional Filipino debut that marks a young woman’s coming of age. The movie is set to premier on April 9.

Next is "Ganito, Ganyan, Ganoon," a family drama directed by Cholo Laurel and starring Jodi Sta. Maria and Agot Isidro, which explores generational conflict, emotional healing, and the complexities of Filipino family dynamics. The movie is set to premiere on August 13.

Adding warmth to the lineup is Paskong Pinoy, a holiday anthology directed by Mark Reyes and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Barbie Forteza, Enchong Dee, Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, and Rica Peralejo, who were all present during the event. Other cast members include Ciara Sotto, Polo Ravales, Michael Flores, and Bernadette Allyson

The anthology weaves together four interconnected stories that capture the joys, struggles, and nostalgia of a Filipino Christmas and is set to premiere on December 3.

Also announced was "The Master Cutter," an action series co-produced with GMA, starring Dingdong Dantes, Max Collins, Paolo Contis, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, Sienna Stevens, and Jo Berry, and directed by Dominic Zapata. Lead star Dingdong Dantes was present at the event alongside director Dominic Zapata, where the actor described the moment as deeply meaningful.

“Parang feeling ko ito iyong full circle moment being on stage with you Direk. 29 years ago, siya po ang isa sa nagbukas ng mga pinto sa akin para pumasok sa acting through the show T.G.I.S. 29 years later nandito pa rin kami, creating stories for everyone,” Dingdong said.

He also shared how grateful he was to witness this moment with the director, whom he considers his first mentor in filmmaking. The action-packed series centers on a former scout ranger living a double life as a skilled tailor and a bounty hunter and is set to premiere on April 1.

The fifth title officially announced was "Someone, Someday," a romantic series co-produced with ABS-CBN, starring Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Maja Salvador, and directed by Chad Vidanes and Dolly Dulu.

The series follows modern relationships and self-discovery, with a release date yet to be announced. The three lead stars, who will be working together for the first time, were present at the event, where they shared insights into their characters.

The project marks a comeback series for Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo, whose last television series aired in 2022 with "Too Good to Be True," as well as for Multimedia Prince James Reid, whose last series was seven years ago.

Expanding Netflix’s horror offerings is Balaraw, a mystery-horror project rooted in Filipino folklore, starring Agot Isidro, Janine Gutierrez, Charlie Dizon, and Ronnie Lazaro, and directed by Rae Red. The series explores dark secrets and mythological elements, blending psychological tension with local superstition, and is scheduled for release on September 24.

Action and thriller fans can also look forward to BuyBust: The Undesirables, an action-thriller series and sequel to the 2018 film BuyBust, directed by Erik Matti. The series stars Anne Curtis reprising her role as police officer Nina Manigan alongside Gerald Anderson and delves deeper into the brutal realities of the war on drugs beyond Metro Manila, featuring intense and gritty action sequences.

Director Matti shared that the original film was initially intended to be a standalone project, but after discussions with Netflix, the creative team found an opportunity to expand the story into a series for a broader audience. BuyBust: The Undesirables is coming soon on Netflix this year.

The event also highlighted the success of Netflix original film "Lolo and the Kid," which remained on Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for three weeks, underscoring the growing international reach and impact of Filipino stories on the platform.

As Netflix Philippines enters its second decade, the 2026 lineup reflects a bold and diverse collection of stories that span romance, family drama, horror, and action—further solidifying Filipino filmmakers and artists on the global platform.

These upcoming films and series are set to captivate audiences not only in the Philippines but across Southeast Asia and worldwide, reinforcing Netflix’s commitment to elevating Filipino storytelling for years to come.
