P-pop groups BINI, SB19 nominated for SEC Awards in Brazil

P-pop powerhouse groups BINI and SB19 are once again making global headlines after being nominated for SEC Awards in Brazil.

On Monday, April 20, the SEC Awards announced on Instagram that The Nation's Girl Group and the Kings of P-pop have been nominated in the “International Group/Duo of the Year,” category.

SEC Awards is a Brazilian ceremony that honors standout achievements in music, film, and entertainment. They join a strong lineup of global acts in the same category, including KATSEYE, LE SSERAFIM, MONSTA X, BE:FIRST, BTS, and BLACKPINK.

Voting for the SEC Awards 2026 will begin on April 24, 2026 through the official SEC website.

While this marks BINI’s first nomination, SB19 has already built a strong track record at the awards, earning nominations back in 2022 and won Grupo Musical do Ano (Musical Group of the Year).

BINI recently made a historic debut at Coachella on April 11 and 18. They will kick off their “BINI Signals World Tour” in Manila at SM Mall of Asia Arena on June 20, 2026.

SB19 meanwhile wrapped up their sold-out “Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale” at SMDC Festival Grounds last April 18, with the show set to be made into a concert film. 

The group is also preparing for international appearances in Lollapalooza Chicago in the US and Summer Sonic Festival in Japan later this year.
