Seeing double? Park Seo Joon reacts to being likened to RM of BTS

The teaser for the BTS video of “2.0” turned into a case of of mistaken identity. 

Fans noticed the resemblance of RM of BTS to Korean actor Park Seo Joon.

Yesterday, Park Seo Joon, 37, posted a screenshot of RM on his Instagram story with the caption translated to English: “My mom even asked if it was me. Love you BTS.” 

ARMY fans noted that they were also confused, with some initially thinking the teaser featured Seo Joon in a cameo. The official music video, released on April 1, may have contributed to the mix-up since it was also April Fool's Day.

The track “2.0” is from ARIRANG, the fifth studio album of BTS, released on March 20, 2026. The music video, which premiered yesterday, features the members in suits with visuals referencing classic Korean cinema. The video has amassed over 13.3 million views on YouTube as of this writing.

At the beginning of the music video, Kim Nam-joon (RM) wears a black bowl-cut wig, aviator sunglasses, and a formal suit while holding a newspaper and standing in an elevator. His appearance has drawn comparison to styles seen in the action-thriller film Old Boy. 

Throughout the video, the members change outfits multiple times, showcasing different styles and looks.

Seo Joon happens to be a close friend of V (real name Kim Tae-hyung). The two are members of the celebrity circle known as the Wooga Squad. 

The clique even appeared in a TV series called "Hwarang" a decade ago. Seo Joon recently shared a photo of V from the same music video through Instagram story.
