Selena Gomez showed up at the premiere of Martin Short's Netflix documentary, “Marty, Life Is Short," to show her support to her “Only Murders in the Building” co-star on Wednesday at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles.

According to AOL, the singer and actress attended the event alongside her husband, Benny Blanco. Gomez posed solo on the red carpet, wearing a black embroidered short-sleeve, square-neck midi dress.

The premiere also showcased the close friendship between Gomez and Short, who reunited on the red carpet. Their bond grew while working together on the mystery-comedy series alongside Steve Martin, with Gomez referring to Short as one of her favorite people.

After the event, Gomez shared a series of photos on Instagram along with a heartfelt message praising Short’s humor and legacy in comedy. She described him as “truly outstandingly witty, smart, and a legend,” adding that his outlook on life is joyful and that she was moved to both laugh and cry while hearing his story.

Gomez also encouraged fans to watch the documentary on Netflix, calling it “worth every minute,” and thanked Short for his “inspiring and tremendous heart.”

Short was also joined by his sons, Oliver, 40, and Henry, 36, as they took family photos. As reported by People.com, the documentary offers an intimate look at Short’s life and decades-long career in comedy, featuring archival footage and reflections from friends, peers, and family. It also touches on the personal losses he reflects on in the trailer.

Directed by Academy Award nominee Lawrence Kasdan, the docufilm will be released on Netflix on May 12.
