Korean actor Song Joong-ki and his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, appeared together at a classical concert on Saturday, April 18. It is the first public event they attended as a married couple.

Although they have been seen together in public places, this was the first time the celebrity couple attended a formal event. Katy maintains a relatively low public profile.

The couple took part in the Gaon Soloists’ 7th regular concert, “Kinderszenen (Children’s Scenes),” held at the IBK Chamber Hall of the Seoul Arts Center in Seoul.

According to The Chosun Daily, Gaon Soloists is an inclusive chamber music group where disabled and non-disabled musicians perform together. The concert was held to mark the 46th National Day for Persons with Disabilities.

During the program, Joong-ki, 40, and Katy, 41, appeared on stage as narrators and delivered a reading. Katy wore a sleeveless floral long dress, while Song Joong-ki wore a semi-formal brown suit. As reported by AllKpop, they personally reached out through an acquaintance to join the performance.

The Gaon Soloists’ Instagram account yesterday shared photos of the couple on stage and with performers, along with a video of their reading. Song Joong-ki read his part in Korean, while Katy delivered hers in English.

Throughout the event, the couple appeared warm and affectionate and also took photos with audience members.

Musical actress Kim So-hyun and violist Hsin Yun-huang were also among the guests. Kim So-hyun later posted photos on Instagram with the couple and other participants, writing: “What a beautiful performance because we could be together.”

Song Joong-ki and Katy met through a mutual acquaintance in 2021, began dating, and later married in 2023. They now have a son and a daughter.
