Steve Harvey crosses over to join Dingdong Dantes in 'Family Feud Philippines' episode

American TV host Steve Harvey will cross over to “Family Feud Philippines” this Friday, April 24, in what the show described as a “historic moment on Philippine TV.”

On Instagram, the game show teased a likeness of Harvey with a half-cropped image and the caption, “From Hollywood to Manila?” Later the same day, the program dropped a full promo poster revealing Harvey and inviting viewers to watch him and Dingdong “bring the ultimate showdown in Family Feud!”

Harvey, 69, is a comedian and longtime host of the American version of “Family Feud” and other TV programs. He is also known for a major mishap in the live broadcast of the Miss Universe 2015 show. 

During the pageant’s coronation segment, Harvey mistakenly announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez as the winner. After discovering and owning up to his mistake on air, he then announced the correct Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines.

Dantes, 45,  has hosted Family Feud Philippines since 2022 when it went back on air. The show last aired in 2010 before its return.

On March 4,  as the show celebrated its fourth anniversary, Dantes thanked the charity Angat Buhay in giving winning families a platform for sharing their winnings to the less fortunate. 

“Bilang host, ako lang ang tagapagdala ng balita at tagasaksi sa kabutihang loob ng mga pamilyang sumasali sa show. Kaya naman maraming salamat sa inyong mga donasyon dahil sa mga ito ay nakapagtayo ang Angat Buhay ng 2-classroom building sa Siain Elementary School in Quezon.”
