The Philippines’ iconic Tenement Court in Taguig has been featured in the latest gameplay trailer for “NBA The Run,” a new fast-paced 3v3 street basketball game set to launch in June 2026.
In the trailer released on April 30, the Tenement appears with other well-known streetball locations such as Rucker Park in New York City, showcasing the game’s focus on authentic courts from around the world. Cities including Chicago, Beijing, Toronto, and Los Angeles were also mentioned.
The Tenement Court is a compact basketball space located between closely packed residential buildings in Taguig. It is a regular gathering place for players of all ages, from streetballers to locals.
The surrounding walls and the basketball court's surface itself feature vibrant NBA-inspired murals and graffiti created by the Tenement Visual Artists, including tributes to the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, and Filipino Olympic medalists Hidilyn Diaz, Nesthy Petecio, Carlo Paalam, and Eumir Marcial.
"NBA The Run" is developed by Play by Play Studios and inspired by classics like “NBA Street.” It’s scheduled to launch in June for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
A closed beta or restricted testing is also set to begin on May 1, 2026, giving players early access to its core 3v3 gameplay.
According to the official website of "NBA The Run," the game will feature more than 30 NBA stars, including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, alongside fictional streetball legends.
Players can choose from modes such as Knockout Squads, Knockout Solos, and Knockout Friends, a private setup supporting matches with friends or AI. The game’s announcer, Bobbito Garcia, also known as Kool Bob Love, will also appear in the game, bringing his signature streetball flair.
