Kenya welcomed in the new year in the early moments of Thursday (January 1) with a fireworks display in the capital near Nairobi's Old Mutual Tower.


Late on Wednesday, Kenyans waiting around late into New Years Eve for the upcoming festivities voiced their hopes for a better 2026 for themselves and their country.
