Robots and human models walked the runway in matching outfits in Seoul on Thursday (May 28), as South Korean entertainment technology company Galaxy Corporation staged a "physical AI" fashion show aimed at imagining a future where humans and robots coexist.
The event, titled "MACH33: Physical AI Fashion Show," was held at Galaxy Robot Park in Seoul and featured robots appearing alongside human models in coordinated looks.
Robots wearing capes walked down the runway before two female models removed the capes to reveal their outfits, while human models in the same clothing followed behind and posed with the robots.
The robots and models also performed synchronized choreography on the runway, blending fashion, robotics and performance.
"I believe that one day, people will wear fashion inspired by robots, and conversely, robots will wear robotic fashion inspired by humans," said Choi Young-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation. "That is why we decided to hold a physical AI robot fashion show because we hope to help create that world someday."
Galaxy Corporation said the show was intended to present robots not as replacements for humans, but as companions capable of sharing emotion and philosophy. The company said the event combined fashion and performance with robot technology to suggest a direction for the emerging era of physical artificial intelligence.
