A paratrooper got caught in the goalpost net during a pre-game jump at the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth but walked off safely, as Texas State went on to defeat Rice 41-10.

A paratrooper became entangled in field goal netting during a pre-game parachute display at the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday (January 2), before falling to the ground.
According to USA Today, citing a game spokesperson, the parachutist was able to get up and walk off the field unassisted. No spectators or personnel on the ground were injured.
Reuters was able to verify the location and date of the video from original file metadata. Architectural features of the venue of the game, the Amon G. Carter Stadium, also matched file imagery.
Texas State went on to beat Rice 41-10 in the Armed Forces Bowl.
