LaMelo Ball poured in a career-high 10 three-pointers on his way to a 37-point performance, leading the visiting Charlotte Hornets to a 129-112 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday and snapping a two-game losing streak.

Ball was 12-of-20 from the field and 10-of-15 from beyond the arc, helping Charlotte hit a season-high 25 three-pointers—just one shy of the franchise record. Kon Knueppel added five three-pointers and finished with 28 points, while Brandon Miller contributed 22 points, going 5-of-7 from deep.

With his performance, Ball tied the Hornets’ single-game franchise record for made three-pointers and moved into third place on the team’s all-time leaderboard with 873 career three-pointers. He also chipped in eight rebounds and seven assists.

Charlotte completed a four-game season sweep of Washington, shooting 49.4% from the field and 54.3% (25-of-46) from three-point range. Josh Green added 12 points off the bench.

The Hornets led by five at halftime before exploding in the third quarter, outscoring the Wizards 44-28 while hitting 12-of-14 from deep. Ball had six three-pointers and 18 points in the decisive period.

Bilal Coulibaly led Washington with 17 points, followed by Jaden Hardy with 16, Kyshawn George and Jamir Watkins with 13 apiece, and Tre Johnson and Will Riley each contributing 11. Coulibaly scored the Wizards’ first 11 points as Washington fell behind 31-19 with 3:48 remaining in the opening quarter, before rallying to trail 38-37 at the period’s end.

The pace slowed in the second quarter, with the Wizards limited to just six field goals. Ball scored 19 points in the first half to help Charlotte take a 61-56 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, Charlotte extended its lead to 81-65 with 6:37 left, and Ball took over. The sixth-year point guard made four consecutive three-pointers over 99 seconds, pushing the Hornets ahead 93-72 with 4:28 remaining in the period.

Charlotte played without forwards Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate, who were serving the final games of their four-game suspensions following a fight during a loss to the Detroit Pistons on Feb. 9.
