Devin Booker hit a clutch 3-pointer with 0.7 seconds left, while reserve guard Jordan Goodwin scored a career-high 26 points, including eight 3-pointers, as the host Phoenix Suns avenged the worst loss in franchise history with a 108-105 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

Booker finished with 24 points, and Dillon Brooks added 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter for the Suns, who closed the game on a 14-5 run, overcoming an 18-point second-quarter deficit. Phoenix dominated the boards, 49-29, turning 12 offensive rebounds into 14 second-chance points.

For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points, Jalen Williams added 23, and Chet Holmgren had 18 points with nine rebounds. Oklahoma City’s four-game winning streak came to an end. The Thunder had previously blown out Phoenix 138-89 on Dec. 10 in the NBA Cup quarterfinals, a game in which Booker did not play.

Pistons 114, Cavaliers 110

Cade Cunningham scored 27 points with six rebounds and seven assists, while Daniss Jenkins poured in 21 of his 25 points in the second quarter, helping Eastern Conference-leading Detroit edge host Cleveland.

Jenkins shot a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, 6-of-6 from beyond the arc, and 1-of-1 from the free-throw line, playing all 12 minutes in the second. The Pistons made all 21 of their free throws, with Cunningham hitting 11. The Pacers can break the dubious record Tuesday against Cleveland.

Norman Powell scored a game-high 34 points to lead host Miami over New Orleans. Nikola Jovic added 19 off the bench, and Kel’el Ware posted a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The Heat pulled away with a 21-2 third-quarter run, winning five of their last six games.

Trey Murphy III led the Pelicans with 27 points, while rookie Jeremiah Fears added 21. Star Zion Williamson was held to 12 points, 11 below his average, as New Orleans dropped its seventh straight game.

Timberwolves 141, Wizards 115

Edwards also had six rebounds, three assists, and four steals, helping the Timberwolves force 19 turnovers. Jaden McDaniels, Jaylen Clark, and Donte DiVincenzo contributed three steals each. Julius Randle joined Gobert and Edwards with 22 points. CJ McCollum led the Wizards with 20 points, while Tre Johnson and Corey Kispert added 13 each. Khris Middleton finished with 10 as Washington failed to string together three straight wins for the season.

Bucks 115, Kings 98

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 37 points in 32 minutes, adding 11 rebounds, as Milwaukee opened a four-game western swing with a win over host Sacramento.

Kevin Porter Jr. added 25 points and a game-high 10 assists for his own double-double. Russell Westbrook led the Kings with 21 points, six rebounds, three assists, four steals, and three blocks. Sacramento was held under 100 points for the sixth time this season, dropping its fifth straight game.
