The Boston Bruins built a three-goal lead after two periods and added another three in the third, cruising to a 6-1 victory over the visiting Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.

Boston (38-23-8, 84 points) received goals from six different scorers, including Lukas Reichel, who tallied the game-winner and added an assist in his team debut. David Pastrnak, Viktor Arvidsson, and Pavel Zacha each recorded a goal and an assist, while Fraser Minten and Jonathan Aspirot also scored. Casey Mittelstadt contributed two assists to help Boston claim its 14th win in 15 home games.

Goalie Jeremy Swayman made 23 saves, earning his fifth win in seven March decisions (5-1-1) for the Bruins, who remain tied atop the Eastern Conference wild-card race with the Detroit Red Wings.

For Winnipeg (28-29-11, 67 points), Jonathan Toews scored a power-play goal, and Connor Hellebuyck stopped 21 shots. The Jets had gone 2-0-1 in their previous three games.

Boston weathered a Pastrnak double-minor for high-sticking in the first period and relied on a crucial save by Swayman on Mark Scheifele to set up the game-opening goal. Pastrnak capitalized on a Kyle Connor turnover at 14:52, controlling a mid-air puck and firing home from the left circle.

Reichel extended the lead 6:23 into the second period, burying a bouncing puck past Hellebuyck in his Boston debut. Swayman made another key save on Gabriel Vilardi, and Arvidsson increased the lead to three with 1:44 remaining in the period, receiving credit for a goal off a deflection.

Just 3:15 into the third, Mittelstadt fed Zacha for a wrister from the left dot, making it 4-0. Winnipeg finally scored at 5:38 when Toews tipped in Elias Salomonsson’s high-slot shot.

Boston capped the victory with two late goals. Minten converted Pastrnak’s spinning centering pass at 4:08, and Aspirot finished off Morgan Geekie’s setup with a top-shelf wrister at 1:42.

The Bruins now look to maintain their dominant home form as the playoff race intensifies.
