Olympic flame stops off in Potenza
The 2026 Winter Olympics torch reached Potenza on Sunday, continuing its nationwide relay across Italy ahead of the Games in Milan and Cortina. The next leg of the journey will take the flame to Taranto on Monday.

The 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics Torch continued its journey through Italy on Sunday (December 28), arriving in the city of Potenza, situated in the Apennine Mountains east of Naples.
The 21st leg of the Relay began in Benevento, passing through the Basilicata region in the south of Italy before finishing in Potenza.
On Monday (December 29), the torch will progress to Taranto, with a further 38 stages before the Olympic Games get underway at the San Siro Stadium in Milan on February 6.
