RACING:Portugal to return to F1 calendar in 2027 and 2028

Formula One will return to Portugal's Portimao circuit for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, marking its first appearance there since the COVID-19 pandemic. The Algarve International Circuit previously hosted the Portuguese Grand Prix in 2020 and 2021.

Formula One will return to Portugal's Portimão circuit in 2027 and 2028, the sport announced on Tuesday.

The Algarve International Circuit previously hosted the Portuguese Grand Prix in 2020 and 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic. With its scenic setting and challenging layout, Portimão quickly became a fan favorite. The upcoming races are expected to draw significant attention, adding another exciting chapter to Formula One's global calendar.
