SOCCER: Man City host Liverpool, Arsenal visit Southampton in FA Cup quarters

Manchester City will face Liverpool and Arsenal travel to Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals, with Chelsea hosting giant-killers Port Vale and West Ham taking on Leeds United over the weekend of April 4-5. Both City and Arsenal remain in quadruple contention after strong wins in the fifth round.

Manchester City will host Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals, while Premier League leaders Arsenal travel to second-tier Southampton following Monday’s draw.


Pep Guardiola’s City secured their spot in the last eight with a 3-1 win at Newcastle United on Saturday. Liverpool also progressed with a 3-1 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers. City have reached the quarter-finals for the eighth consecutive season and are aiming for a fourth straight FA Cup final appearance as they chase a possible quadruple.


Arsenal, record 14-time FA Cup winners, visit Southampton. Mikel Arteta’s side are also pursuing a quadruple, having reached the League Cup final and the Champions League last 16.


Third-tier Port Vale caused a major upset in the fifth round on Sunday, beating Premier League side Sunderland 1-0. They face a tough test against Chelsea, who advanced after a 4-2 extra-time win at Wrexham on Saturday.


Leeds United travel to West Ham United, who defeated Brentford 5-3 on penalties on Monday following a 2-2 draw after extra time. West Ham’s Konstantinos Mavropanos scored the decisive spot kick.

Chelsea vs Port Vale


Manchester City vs Liverpool


West Ham United vs Leeds United


All matches are scheduled for the weekend of April 4-5.
