Nielsen has updated the ratings for Super Bowl LX, raising the final viewership to 125.6 million.
The Seattle Seahawks’ 29-13 win over the New England Patriots was initially reported to have averaged 124.9 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, and other digital platforms. Nielsen explained that the adjustment came after a Big Data provider failed to properly collect data from its devices on game day.
Despite the update, Super Bowl LX remains the second-most watched Super Bowl in history, trailing last year’s record of 127.7 million viewers. The Feb. 8 game, however, became the most-watched show in NBC history, earning a combined average household rating of 39.7.
