Another 7-0 run later in the quarter extended Minnesota’s lead to 114-100, highlighted by a 3-pointer from Mike Conley, a dunk from McDaniels, and a driving layup by DiVincenzo. Fox made a pair of free throws to bring San Antonio within 114-105 with four minutes remaining, but the Spurs would not get any closer.
At halftime, San Antonio led 62-61.
The Spurs were without injured players Victor Wembanyama (left calf strain), Stephon Castle (left hip flexor strain), and Jordan McLaughlin (left hamstring strain). -Field Level Media/Reuters
