On Labor Day, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to upholding the dignity of Filipino workers.
He said the government aims to achieve this by generating high-quality employment, strengthening labor protections, and advancing inclusive economic growth despite shifting global conditions.
In his Labor Day message, Marcos, paid tribute to workers across all sectors for their vital role in nation-building.
He emphasized that Labor Day serves as both a commemoration and a call for stronger collaboration between the government and the private sector.
The goal is to create a society where hard work is rewarded and real opportunities are accessible to all.
“Today, we honor every member of our workforce whose hands carry the weight of our shared future—whether at sunrise, beneath the noonday heat, or in the long hours when the nation sleeps,” the President said.
He assured Filipinos that the government remains resolute in addressing economic challenges while safeguarding workers’ welfare.

He noted that their perseverance not only sustains their families but also strengthens the nation as a whole.
“You are, and will always be, the backbone of our Republic,” the President emphasized.
“With you at the heart of our agenda, a stronger, more equitable, and more hopeful Bagong Pilipinas is well within reach,” the President added. “Mabuhay ang manggagawang Pilipino!”
