2PM's Ok Taec-yeon to tie the knot with non-showbiz fianceé this April

South Korean actor and singer Ok Taec-yeon of 2PM will marry his long-term girlfriend, Ji Hye on April 24. The news was initially announced by Ok Taec-yeon’s agency, 51K, last year.

“Ok Taec Yeon has promised to spend the rest of his life with someone he has been in a long-term relationship with. The wedding will be held privately next spring,” the agency said.

The agency also asked for understanding for the couple's request for privacy, especially as the actor’s fiancée  is a non-celebrity.

Ok Taec-yeon, 37, who publicly confirmed their relationship in 2020, also shared a handwritten note written originally in Korean with his beloved fans last November 1.:

“I thought it was right to deliver this news to you, who have supported me all this time, before anyone else. I have promised to spend my life together with someone who has understood me for a long time and stood by me.

"I will do my best as a member of 2PM, as an actor and as your Taecyeon to repay the love you have shown me. Thank you sincerely for reading this long letter,” he concluded.

Taec-yeon’s fiancée is four years his junior. Despite his demanding career and public profile, Taec-yeon has respected her privacy and kept her out of the public eye. The  ceremony will only have family and close friends present.

The agency requested fans to continue supporting and extending their warm wishes as Ok Taec-yeon enters this new chapter in his life.

Ok Taec-yeon debuted as a K-Pop idol with 2PM in 2008 with the mini album “Hottest Time of the Day.” He made his acting debut in 2010 with the romance drama series Cinderella's Sister and has since starred in popular series such as Dream High, Bring It On, Ghost, Vincenzo, and the Webtoon-adaptated series “The First Night with the Duke” alongside Korean actress and singer Seohyun.
