“Doctor Strange” star Benedict Cumberbatch was caught on camera in a tense confrontation with a fellow cyclist in London after he was accused of running a red light.

In the video shared by The Straits Times, the 49-year-old actor approached the cyclist, who blamed him for allegedly breaking traffic rules. The cyclist insisted Cumberbatch went through a red light multiple times and called him “deluded” for denying it. The exchange quickly became confrontational, with the man accusing the actor of lying.

As the exchange continued, Cumberbatch told the cyclist “verbally abused” him, adding “I braked my bike to stop you.” The man responded sarcastically, saying he only reacted because the actor had “repeatedly broken the law.” Cumberbatch admitted he had run a red light once but denied doing it more than that.

The cyclist continued to insist he had been following Cumberbatch the whole time and had witnessed multiple violations. The actor stood by his version of events, while another passerby eventually stepped in near the end of the clip, seemingly to defuse the situation.

Some viewers were skeptical, saying they didn’t believe it was Cumberbatch, while others insisted it was clearly him. One commenter joked, “That’s so strange, I’d call a doctor.” Page Six reported that the confrontation lasted around 10 minutes.
