Julia Barretto and Tony Labrusca are reuniting in the horror flick “Knock Three Times.” Jerrold Tarog who directed the biopic "Quezon" will helm the project.
The two previously worked together in the 2020 psychological thriller series “I Am U.” Barretto and Labrusca both are pretty experienced in the horror movie genre with Barretto, 29, starring in “Block Z” and “Bahay na Pula,” while Labrusca 30, acted in films like “ML” and “U-Turn.” They will be joined in "Knock Three Times" by veteran actors Christopher de Leon and Charo Santos-Concio.
According to Variety, the film was inspired by Filipino urban folklore. The story follows a young woman who returns from rehab, only to discover that her mother has fallen under the influence of a sinister antique mirror.
The film is another entry to Jerrold Tarog’s horror credentials, following his work on the “Shake, Rattle & Roll XV” segment “Ulam.”
