You can smell it in the air. The Septic Tank multiverse is back. Only this time it's onstage.

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) brings back to life  Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live Sa Cheter! The show will run from June 19 to August 16 at the PETA Theater Center.

The franchise began with the 2011 indie comedy about a filmmaker attempting to create an Oscar-worthy movie about poverty. It satirized the film industry and has since become a cultural touchstone known for its sharp humor and social commentary.

This fourth installment marks its transition from film to series and now to live theater, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how a stage production comes together. The show is essentially a show within a show.

Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough was released in 2016, followed by the mockumentary series Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 3: The Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken in 2019.

.

Reprising her role in this live stage version is television host and comedian-actress Eugene Domingo, who is celebrated for her timeless comedy and versatility in both film and theater.

Joining her are Meann Espinosa, Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Andoy Ranay, and JC Santos.

Melvin Lee plays the producer of the show. Marlon Rivera, who actually directed the first three installments, portrays the director, and Joshua Lim So is the playwright.

Eugene Domingo returns to the stage after starring in Theatre Group Asia’s Into the Woods as Jack’s Mother, with Nic Chien portraying Jack.

The comedian actress has also starred in the films Here Comes the Bride, Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme, Tuhog, and Becky and Badette, among others.

Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live Sa Cheter! is written by Chris Martinez, who also wrote all previous Septic Tank installments.
