KATSEYE’s Manon takes a break to focus on health

HYBE and Geffen Records announced on Saturday that Manon will be taking a temporary break from activities with the global girl group KATSEYE to focus on her health and wellbeing.

 The management and record company announced on the group's Weverse community, “After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing.

"We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right.”

While no specific date for her return was provided, the label assured fans of their full support. “Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.”

This is not the first time Manon has paused activities for health reasons. She previously withdrew from performing at Summer Sonic Tokyo after experiencing health issues upon arrival and chose to rest following medical consultation.

Despite Manon’s temporary absence, the group will continue all planned activities. Management confirmed that the remaining five members will fulfill previously scheduled appearances, including major festivals such as Coachella and The Governors Ball, as well as international tour dates across South America, U.S., and Canada.

KATSEYE is a multinational girl group composed of six members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung. Manon, real name Meret Manon Bannerman, is a Swiss singer and serves as the center and visual of KATSEYE.

The group has earned international recognition with their songs such as Gabriela, Gnarly, and Touch.
