The Amazon Prime Video series The Alibi, starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, will also be shown on free TV.
During the Grand Media Conference held yesterday, February 16, it was officially announced that the series will also air on free tv this March, featuring unreleased scenes not shown in the Prime Video version.
“Maraming eksena na hindi napanood sa Prime Video and this time, buong katotohanan na talaga iyong mapapanood nila,” Kim revealed.
“May idea na iyong mga nakanood nung Prime cut, pero dito ang dami nang subplots na kapag pinanood ninyo iyong Prime siguro parang kini-kwestyon ninyo anong nangyari dito. Bakit hindi nasagot o bakit na-skip o bakit hindi nabigyan ng importansya,” Paulo added.
Paulo Avelino, 37, explained that the free TV version will be juicier, with more surprises and new scenes not included on Prime Video—something that will excite viewers, even those who have already watched the Prime version but want to watch it again.
Also present at the media conference were director Jojo Saguin and cast members Kim Tubiano, PJ Edrinal, Thou Reyes, Angelina Cruz, Robbie Jaworski, veteran actors Rafael Rosell, Sam Milby, Sofia Andres, along with lead stars Paulo and Kim.
Rising stars Angelina and Robbie expressed their gratitude to Kim and Paulo for guiding them through their scenes in the series.
Kim, 35, also shared the story why she has a notebook for every project, whether film or television. The notebook played a significant role in helping her navigate the many intense and emotional scenes in this series.
“Every project meron talaga akong notebook for my emotional continuity kasi minsan hindi ko nako-kontrol iyong emotions ko parang it’s all the same. So para lagyan ko ng level,” Kim shared. Paulo agreed that more actors should practice this method.
In the series, Paulo plays a journalist, while Kim portrays a bar entertainer. The lead stars revealed that the show requires daring performances and is one of the most challenging projects of their careers.
“Isa ito sa pinaka mahirap na project and very fulfilling din na nagawa ko siya kasi this is very far from my comfort zone na usual na ginagawa ko,” the actress said.
Kim was also asked about the bouquet of flowers she posted on Valentine’s Day. She confirmed that the flowers did come from Paulo. The actress shared that she felt flattered and appreciated, saying the gesture made her feel truly feminine.
KimPau, one of the most celebrated 'love teams' in the Philippines, marked their fourth project together, following the series Linlang; What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama series; and the romance film My Love Will Make You Disappear.
KimPau will also embark on a world tour, giving international fans the opportunity to see them in person. They announced that the KimPau World Tour will take place on April 24 and 26, and May 1 and 3, with scheduled dates in the United States and Canada.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu, who is Filipino Chinese, shared photos of herself in a yellow dress as she celebrated Chinese New Year with her family and celebrity friends.
Beyond her showbiz career, Kim is also the CEO and owner of the bag brand House of Little Bunny PH. She is also a brand ambassador of Chowking, one of the leading Chinese fast food chains in the Philippines.
